WHY I TEACH
I believe that acting is magic. We aspire for the moment when character, story, and inspiration ban together grip the soul. So present and alive, your work has transcended performance and into truth.
Growing up among a family of performers and working extensively behind the scenes, I know the grind we professional actors face. That’s why I’m committed to helping all actors ignite their spark and own their magic.
As a method acting coach and a budding drama therapist, I believe in abolishing the “tortured actor” and supporting artists who aren’t just talented performers, but healthy, happy, and grounded people. Inspired by my years at the Strasberg Institute and my late acting teacher, Wynn Handman, I create personalized lesson plans using Meisner, Strasberg, and drama therapy techniques to help artists attain their professional goals. With actors ranging from ages 6 to 60, I meet all of my students where they’re at with empathy, intimacy, commitment, and a sense of play.
I currently teach method acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute’s adult and YAS programs.
I am also accepting a limited number of new students on Zoom and in person for discounted rates.
